Two friends, one incident and a mad road thriller. The trailer for director Sudheesh Shankar's upcoming much-anticipated film Maareesan establishes the 'hunter and the hunted' in an intriguing entertainer that also promises to be taut and gripping.

In the 1.30-minute-long teaser opens with the famous ‘Aaha Inba Nilaavinile’ song from 1957’s Mayabazar where we see the duo, who last shared screen in Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan, cruising in the bike and engaging in conversations like friends who had met after a long time. The ride goes smoothly until Vadivelu and Fahadh start singing the song in their tune that breaks the momentum and the viewer's perception of the film. It unravels like a thriller after that point with both the actors trying to move away from it as they are dragged into it over and over again.

Apart from Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil, Maareesan also stars Kovai Sarala, Vivek Prasanna, Sithara, PL Thenappan, Livingston, Renuka, and Saravana Subbiah, among others.
