Weeks after their arrest in connection with drug acquisition and usage, actors Srikanth and Krishna got bail from Madras High Court on Tuesday. The court passed orders on bail please filed by the two actors. Earlier, the Greater Chennai City Police arrested them and booked a case against them under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) act. The police first arrested Srikanth after they found his dealings with a narcotics agent known as Pradeep Kumar that involved the purchase of drugs at 12,000 per gram. Law enforcement found a transaction worth 4,72,000 that happened between the two. Later, Srikanth admitted in court that he consumed drugs.

The police also arrested Krishna in relation to the same case, but the actor maintained that he did not consume drugs even after an 18-hour-long interrogation. The actor claimed that his health condition and a potential allergy to drugs prevent him from using these substances. Krishna also told the cops that he do not know anything about Pradeep Kumar and that he was in cordial terms with just Srikanth. Further details about their bail conditions are expected soon.
