
The streaming platform Netflix announced its Tamil film slate for 2025 on Wednesday. The 'Netflix Pandigai' is timed for the Pongal festivals and on Tuesday, the streamer unveiled the Telugu slate.
The nine-film slate ranges from much anticipated big-ticket projects of Ajith and Suriya to that of an emerging talent such as Pradeep Ranganathan.
GOOD BAD UGLY
The Adhik Ravichandran directorial has Ajith Kumar experimenting with different looks, with each look winning the applause of the audiences already. The film is expected to be of an action genre with whackiness atypical of Adhik's filmography. The film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.

RETRO
Billed as an action-adventure film, Karthik Subbaraj is teaming up with Suriya for the first time. With the teaser that came out recently, it could be understood that Suriya is playing a character who has a dark past and that past is chasing him in the present. Apart from Tamil, the film will be available in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

VIDAAMUYARCHI
This Ajith Kumar-Magizh Thirumeni film was supposed to get a theatrical release this Pongal but had to be pushed further. The action film is touted to be an actioner where a family holiday turns a nightmare. The film will also be available in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi

THUG LIFE
Almost four decades after the cult classic gangster film Nayakan, veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan join forces again for another gangster action film Thug Life. The film will also be available in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

BISON
The film that marks the maiden collaboration between Dhruv Vikram and Mari Selvaraj is said to be a sports-drama featuring Kabaddi. While some say the film is based on the life of Arjuna Awardee Manathi Ganesan, the makers are yet to confirm the same. The film will also be available in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

DRAGON
This romantic comedy is Ashwath Marimuthu's second feature after his successful directorial debut, Oh My Kadavule. Pradeep Ranganathan too is fresh off the success of his Love Today. Their combination in Dragon promises to be a kickass entertainer with a blend of romance and humour. In addition to Tamil, the film will also be available in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

KAANTHA
It is back-to-back period films for Dulquer Salmaan, whose Diwali release Lucky Baskhar was a runaway hit, as he joins hands with director Selvamani Selvaraj for Kaantha. The film set against the backdrop of 1950s Chennai will have a multilingual theatrical and OTT release including Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.

PERUSU
The recently announced comedy entertainer Perusu is based on the Sinhalese film Tentigo, by Ilango Ram. He will be helming the remake as well. The film is said to revolve around two brothers who discover that their dead father's penis is still erect and this discovery lends itself to humourous and embarrassing situations. This film will also be available in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

UNTITLED PRADEEP RANGANATHAN FILM
The yet-to-be-titled film marks the collaboration between Pradeep Ranganathan and debut director Keerthiswaran, who served as an assistant director to Sudha Kongara in Soorarai Pottru and in her segments in Paava Kadhaigal and Putham Pudhu Kaalai. Nothing much is known about the film as of now. The film will also be available Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
