Last seen in The Smile Man, actor-politician Sarath Kumar has announced his next project titled Ezham Iravil.
The title poster of the film was unveiled on Tuesday, on the occasion of Pongal.
The film, written by Ajay Unnikrishnan and directed by Akhil M Bose, will go on floors in March this year.
The title poster shows a flock of goats (could mean people or for sacrifice) gathering around the altar with the bust of a goat. The poster is suggestive of a dark and horror story that deals with occult practices. Interestingly, the title is similar to the Malayalam thriller Ezham Rathri (1982), starring Kamal Haasan in the lead, written, directed and produced by Krishnakumar. The Kamal film was dubbed in Tamil as Ezhavathu Iravil.
Speculations apart, there is still no official word about the film's plot and other details like the technical crew and the rest of the star cast. Ezham Iravil is bankrolled by Praseetha Menon, K Premchand and K Arnav under the banner RGM Ventures.
