Fresh from the success of Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan is currently working on two films: the AR Murugadoss directorial and a film with Sudha Kongara. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor has opened up about both the films.
While speaking about the former, which is tentatively titled SKxARM, the actor said, "It’ll be a commercial-action entertainer but in a different kind of zone, not like the regular ones." He also added that 90 percent of the shoot has been wrapped up. "Murugadoss sir has moved on to Salman Khan sir’s project now. Once he completes that, we're going to finish this one," he said.
The film also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Shabeer Kallarakal, and Vikranth. Sivakarthikeyan has also shared that the contribution of the film's DOP, Sudeep Elamon, is making it interesting. “We wanted that unusual [element] in the film; the story demands it," he said.
Further, the actor also spilt the beans about Jayam Ravi's role in the Sudha Kongara directorial. “The most exhilarating part is Jayam Ravi sir playing the antagonist. I was very happy to hear that, since it’s a very strong character.” The film also stars Sreeleela and Atharvaa Murali, with music by GV Prakash Kumar. On working with Sudha, Sivakarthikeyan says they don't have many questions to ask as she prepares everything. “We just go and ask her what we are supposed to do; she's always high on energy!"
Sivakarthikeyan's 25th film, the Sudha Kongara directorial will have camera work by Ravi K Chandran.
