Actor Rajinikanth wished his fans a happy new year early on Wednesday.
He took to his X handle and wished using an iconic line from his super hit film Baasha: 'Nallavangala Aandavan Sodhippaan Aana Kaivida Maataan, Kettavangalukku Neraya Kuduppaan Aana Kaivitruvaan' (God will test the good people but will not forsake. He will give the bad ones a lot but will forsake them).
On the occasion, he also met and greeted his fans outside his Poes Garden residence.
The actor who was last seen in TJ Gnanavel's Vettaiyan will next be seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie. The makers of this upcoming action film dropped a glimpse of 'Chikitu Vibes' that features Rajini with the multi-hyphenate T Rajendar in the vocals.
Coolie boasts a star-studded ensemble of Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and Soubin Shahir. It is also rumored that Aamir Khan will be sharing screen space with Rajinikanth after a gap of 29 years, but the makers are yet to confirm the same. This speculation was given rise to as the team recently headed to Jaipur for the next leg of filming and Aamir Khan was also in the city for no specified reason.
