On Monday, streaming giant Netflix announced that Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi is all set to stream on their platform on March 3. Produced by Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner, the film is directed by Magizh Thirumeni, with music by Anirudh.
The film, distributed by Red Giant Movies, was initially slated for a Pongal release, but later hit the theatres on February 6. With Ajith in the lead, the ensemble cast of the Vidaamuyarchi also includes Arjun, Trisha, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Ramya Subramanian.
The film has cinematography by Om Prakash, editing by NB Srikanth, stunt choreography by Supreme Sundar, and art direction by Milan. On the other hand, Ajith will next be seen in Adhik Ravichandran's Good Bad Ugly, in which he will once again team up with Trisha.
The CE review for the film reads, With the first half, the seeds of a genuinely good film are sown. But in the second half, the film settles for a combination of standard action beats, a road that is more familiar, and a road not so full of narrative joys or surprises. And as is often the case with such films and perhaps life itself, the real intrigue is in considering unanswered questions, in curiosity, in the puzzle not in the answers that diffuse it all.
