We had earlier reported that Valimai fame actor Raaj Aiyyappa will team up with first-time director Megaraj Doss for the film titled Love Ink.
The latest update from the makers is that the film has entered the final stage of production. The filming is taking place in Cheyyar with actors Yogi Babu, Ramar, Sunil, and Ravi Maria.
Megaraj, who served as an assistant director in Dinesh's upcoming film Karuppu Pulsar, said in an earlier interview to CE that the Love Ink is a rom-com that revolves around couples' obsession with getting tattooed, and the film will focus on one such couple whose life takes a tragic turn after getting inked. On choosing Raaj Aiyyappa as the male lead, he said the lead in the film plays a DJ from Chintadripet and that Raaj fit the bill of a proper boy next door Chennaiite image.
With Kurangu Bommai fame Delna Davis playing the female lead, Love Ink also stars Dileepan, VTV Ganesh, Munish Kanth, Arshad, Pattimandram Raja, Vinodhini, Maran, Subhashini Kannan, KPY Vinoth, Maurish Dass, and Preetha in supporting roles. The film's technical crew comprises Premalu-fame music composer Vishnu Vijay, cinematographer Arjjuna AS, and editor B Krishna Sudarsan.
Backed by Mahendiran Adhikesavan of MR Pictures Production, Love Ink went on floors July last year. Megaraj reveals that the makers have planned for three shoot schedules in Chennai and Thanjavur.
