Dhanush's next film, which will be directed Tamizharasan Pachaimuthu, is set to begin filming in March/April 2026, revealed producer Aakash Baskaran. The upcoming project will be Tamizharasan's sophomore venture, after his debut film Lubber Pandhu (2024).
Aakash revealed the update in a recent interview with Cineulagam. The producer also said that while this was the only project that was announced. There are other upcoming projects, some which are directed by debutants that are in the pipeline for the producers' banner, Dawn Pictures.
Dhanush had three releases this year with Kuberaa, Idli Kadai, and Tere Ishk Mein. He recently wrapped filming on his next venture, tentatively titled D54. The film is directed by Vignesh Raja, who made Por Thozhil.
Meanwhile, Parasakthi, which is produced by Aakash, is set to release on January 10. The film is directed by Sudha Kongara, and stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela.
