Producer Lalit Kumar of the 7 Screen Studios, during a pre-release of his company's next film, Sirai, headlined by Vikram Prabhu which stars his son Akshay Kumar in his debut, has thanked actor-politician Vijay for making his banner popular.
During his speech, the producer said, "The whole world came to know that a production company called 7 Screen Studios exists, and after Master and after Leo, our production company came to be the most-talked-about banner in the industry. I will always be grateful to Vijay sir for this."
Directed by Suresh Rajakumari, Sirai stars Vikram Prabhu as a cop and Akshay Kumar as the accused, has a story written by Tamizh, who made his directorial debut with Taanakkaran, with the former.
Sirai, marking Vikram Prabhu's 25th feature, is produced by Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios banner. The film also stars Anishma Anilkumar in her debut and Anantha. The rest of the technical crew includes cinematographer Madhesh Manickam, editor Philomin Raj, and production designer Raghava Sanjivi.
Sirai is set to release alongside Arun Vijay's Retta Thala on December 25, on Christmas Day.
