Munishkanth and Vijayalakshmi's Middle Class now has an OTT release date. The film, helmed by Kishore Muthuramalingam in his directorial debut, hit theatres on November 21 and opened to mixed reviews. The film is now set to premiere on ZEE5 on December 24.
The cast of Middle Class also includes Kuraishi, Kaali Venkat, Radha Ravi, Kodangi Vadivelu, Malavika Avinash, and Vela Ramamoorthy, among others. In the film, Munishkanth stars as Karl Marx, who yearns for a farm life, but his mundane routine with his chatty wife and kids seems to contradict his dreams. When opportunity strikes, he's driven to frantically pursue his aspirations and secure a better future.
An excerpt from CE's review of the film reads, "The actions of the characters are meant only to mechanically move the narration from one point to another, with no concrete emotional reasons."
Pranav Muniraj, who is also working on Mr Bhaarath currently, has composed music for Middle Class. The crew of the film also includes Sudarshan Srinivasan as the director of photography, San Lokesh as the editor, MSP Madhavan as the art director, and Don Ashok as the stunt choreographer.
The film is produced by Dev and KV Durai. Mohan P served as an executive producer on Middle Class. Axess Film Factory and Good Show are the banners backing the film.
