Earlier, we reported about singer Chinmayi Sripaada condemning a crowd mobbing actor Nidhhi Agerwal at a recent event. "Pack of men behaving worse than hyenas," wrote Chinmayi in her response to the incident. The singer also shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp message, featuring a piece of text about a toxic relationship between a boy and girl with many abusive words. "If your partner speaks like this to you, leave," she wrote. Another user quote tweeted it, arguing that Chinmayi "cries about" these issues only when they involve men, and told her to concentrate on her job instead. "Feminism ain't a job!!" the user wrote followed by a clown emoticon. In response, the singer shared, "I have a fantastic life and won an award only yesterday for a Malayalam song. I am only talking about abusers and it is always the greatest expose when men rant each time I talk about rapists molesters abusers child sex offenders and abuse ME instead of calling out one of your abuser buddies." She also argued that the said behaviour signifies "low literacy and education".
The user kept arguing that the singer only calls out men when they commit misdeeds but not women. She responded to it, saying, "I didn't even see one woman molesting Nidhi yesterday." The user then argued that the male bodyguards played a role in keeping Nidhi safe and that Chinmayi is "projecting every man as an evil". The singer was not having any of it. "This is like the India Gate Molesting case. One male photographer decided to take proof of that girl being molested by the mob. Men harangued and criticised the man asking why he didn’t help her," she wrote, referring to an earlier incident.
