Earlier, we reported about Vemal starring in a film titled Vadam, written and directed by Kenthiran V. The latest from the project is that the makers have dropped a poster giving a first look at its characters, played by Vemal and Natty, respectively. The poster shows each of their characters standing next to a bull and facing opposite to each other, giving a glimpse of the sport of bull taming named Vada Manjuvirattu. "From the land we live on, of the people we belong to. This is our pride," the makers wrote as the caption for the first-look post.
Touted as a rural entertainer, Vadam also stars Sangeetha Kalyankumar and Bala Saravanan.
Gnanakaravel is credited as the film's dialogue writer and lyricist.
On the technical front, it has music by D Imman, cinematography by Prasanna S Kumar, editing by Sabu Joseph, and stunts by GN Murugan. Rajasekar R is producing the film, the production of which commenced in August this year. Masani Pictures is backing the film in association with Sri Vetri Vinayaga Pictures and Shayanthra Film Production. Sun Maro Pictures is also involved in the project. It adds to the long list of films set in rural areas starring Vemal, also including Pasanga, Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Kalavani, Desingu Raja, and Mahasenha Volume – 1.
