The other day, we reported about JioHotstar announcing its slate of upcoming films and shows, including the next chapters in Bigg Boss across languages. The popular reality TV program is set to comeback for another season in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada with hosts Vijay Sethupathi, Mohanlal, Nagarjuna, and Kichcha Sudeep, respectively. At the event, Vijay Sethupathi made some humorous comments about his Bigg Boss Telugu counterpart, actor Nagarjuna. Vijay said that Nagarjuna still looks the same as the star he saw on television in his childhood. "I do not know why he does not age. They do much research about anti-ageing; please take this man along for that. He looks handsome right from his hair. He always carries a cool, energetic vibe. Even if my grandchildren come, he would look the same I think," Vijay joked, eliciting a big smile from Nagarjuna.

Vijay Sethupathi also said that he did not wish to host Bigg Boss Tamil, just like how Nagarjuna did not want to be part of the show's Telugu version. He cited a lack of knowledge in hosting such shows and a lack of familiarity with the program itself as an audience member. "I have another opinion about it," the Super Deluxe and '96 star said about the reality TV show. The actor, who hosted Bigg Boss Tamil season 8 as a replacement of long-time host Kamal Haasan and who is set to return for another season, said that hosting the show is similar to "reading an open book". The actor added that he is also learning a lot about how people behave by hosting the show.

Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming projects include Train with director Mysskin, a JioHotstar show titled Kaattaan, Arasan with Silambarasan TR and Vetri Maaran, and a yet-to-be-titled film with Puri Jagannadh.
