The famous Heart Beat pair, Ravi and Anitha, are back for another series. This time it is Heartiley Battery for ZEE5, which will star Guru Lakshman and Padine Kumar as Sid and Sofia, respectively.
Helmed by Sadasivam Senthil, Heartiley Battery chronicles the adventures of Sofia, a gifted scientific enthusiast who has always thought that love is just a combination of chemistry and biology. She is desperate to eliminate ambiguity from love after seeing broken relationships all around her, even those of her own parents. She hopes to create a tool that can quantify the genuineness of love scientifically at the age of sixteen. When Sofia eventually succeeds at the age of 24 years later, she meets Sid, a comic book writer who finds her idea ridiculous. A light-hearted voyage that poses the age-old query: Will science ever be able to understand the language of the heart?
The series also stars Sumithra Devi, Anith Yash Paul, Yoga Lakshmi, Iniyal, Jeeva Ravi, Sharmila, Praveena Princy, Kalai, Ajith, Pavithra and Seenu.
Speaking about his character in the series, Guru Lakshman said in an official statement, “Sid is a character who believes deeply in emotions, instinct, and the magic of love. Playing him allowed me to explore vulnerability and humour in equal measure. Heartiley Battery is not just a love story; it’s a journey of understanding what the heart truly wants, and I can’t wait for audiences to witness it.”
On the other hand, Padine Kumar said, “Sofia is a character I instantly connected with – driven, brilliant, and someone who believes she can understand love scientifically. But beneath her confidence lies someone afraid of emotional instability. Playing her was both challenging and fulfilling.”
A romantic sci-fi series, Heartiley Battery is all set to premiere on the streamer on December 16.
