Confirming rumours that music composer Vidyasagar's son, Harsha Vardhan, will make his acting debut in Lingusamy's upcoming film, the filmmaker has revealed details about the project.
In an interview with Behindwoods, Lingusamy confirmed that Harsha Vardhan is indeed making his acting debut in his film. He also revealed that the script has been finalised and the shoot is set to commence in January 2026.
Opening on why he chose to proceed with this project when he had earlier announced that he would work on a Mahabharat-based project. "It took more time than I expected. The assemblage of the kind of actors and technicians I expected did not happen with the budget. I also did not want to stagnate myself with this one project alone. So I decided to move on."
Lingusamy last made the Tamil-Telugu bilingual (Telugu debut), The Warriorr, starring Ram Pothineni and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. He recently re-edited and re-released his 2014 film Anjaan, starring Suriya, Vidyut Jammwal, Manoj Bajpayee, and Samantha.
