Many celebrities expressed deep admiration for AVM Studios' owner M Saravanan, who passed away earlier this Thursday, and shared their condolences to his family and friends. In an exclusive conversation with CE, actor-politician Khushboo Sundar spoke highly of AVM Saravanan's character, as well as his contributions to and legacy in Tamil cinema. Calling his passing "a huge loss to the industry" and describing him as "one of the most respected personalities of Tamil cinema," Khushboo said that "there cannot be a single actor who has never interacted with AVM Saravanan sir." The actor-politician also commended the late producer's down-to-earth personality, saying, "A man who belongs to such a big family, but he always remained humble. His humbleness is something we all need to learn from." According to the actor, whose first film Dharmathin Thalaivan started at AVM Studios, Saravanan is an example of a person who never allowed money, success, power and position to influence who he was and how he conducted himself. "Success, money, power and position cannot affect if you allow your mind and your head to be firmly on your shoulders," she said.

Khushboo shared that the aforementioned qualities also determined how AVM Studios functioned as a film producer. "They were very sensible. They did not want to be in the limelight or in the rat race. Do you remember when they last produced films? They stopped producing films the minute they realised that times have changed and the industry is not the same as it once used to be."

She also described those who ran AVM Studios as "smart businesspeople" who believed that "hard-earned money needs extra hard work to save up." She went on to add, "They were not extravagant, over-the-top or pompous producers. They believed in pure work and they delivered that."
