Actors Gouri Kishan and Aadhitya Baaskar are reuniting for the third time for a new film directed by newcomer Rajkumar Rangasamy. Tentatively titled Production #1, the upcoming film is expected to be a romantic entertainer.
Sharing the news, the makers wrote, "The pair of ‘96 is back, this time with a fresh dose of magic, fire, and feels." The poster has the tagline, 'Two hearts, one nest, endless battles." The film is also set to star veteran actor-director K Bhagyaraj in a prominent role. Further details regarding the cast, plot and a release date have been kept under wraps.
On the technical team, the untitled film has music by MS Jones Rupert, cinematography by L Ramachandran and editing by Barath Vikraman. It is being backed by Kannadhason and presented by Origin Studios.
After their successful collaboration in the hit 2018 film '96, directed by C Prem Kumar that earned rave reviews, Gouri Kishan and Aadhitya Baaskar had joined hands once again for filmmaker Vignesh Karthick's Hot Spot (2024). While Aadhitya was last seen in GV Prakash's Rebel (2024), Gouri played a supporting role in the latest Malayalam film Sahasam. She is currently awaiting the release of Pradeep Ranganathan-Vignesh Shivan's Love Insurance Kompany which will hit theatres on October 17.
