The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) Awards 2025 announced its list of winners earlier today. Abhishek Bachchan and Geetha Kailasam won in Best Actor (Male) and Best Actor (Female) categories for their performances in I Want To Talk and Angammal, respectively. On the other hand, Nimisha Sajayan and Jaideep Ahlawat won Best Actor (Female) (Series) and Best Actor (Male) (Series) for their performances in Prime Video's Dabba Cartel and Patal Lok Season 2, respectively.

Netflix's Black Warrant has been named Best Series. Meanwhile, Homebound, where Martin Scorsese serves as an executive producer, and its maker Neeraj Ghaywan won Best Film and Best Director, respectively. The Tamil film Angammal from director Vipin Radhakrishnan also won Best Indie Film. Angammal has also won Best Film at the New York Indian Film Festival.

Aamir Khan, who attended the opening ceremony of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne as a chief guest, won the Excellence in Cinema award, whereas Arvind Swami earned the Leadership in Cinema accolade. The Bengali film Baksho Bondi (Shadowbox) from directors Tanushree Das and Saumyananda Sahi won in the Equality in Cinema category. The film tells a story of a woman's quiet strength, love and resilience. Standup comedian and actor Vir Das took home the Disruptor Award, whereas Gugun Kipgen of producer Farhan Akhtar's Boong earned a Special Mention and Aditi Rao Hydari earned recognition for Diversity in Cinema at the IFFM Awards.
