Oho Enthan Baby topped Netflix's algorithm-driven 'Number One in Movies Today' section the other day, making the film's star Nirmal Pillai excited enough to share a note of gratitude. "Our movie hit number one on Netflix when I last checked!" Nirmal wrote on his Instagram Story. The actor started the note by thanking the audience for the positive feedback he received for the film. Then, he gave an insight into his character in it. "My character speaks only in Tamil throughout and it was a very new experience for me." A Malayali based in Chennai, Nirmal went on to express his gratitude to director Krishnakumar Ramakumar as the latter guided him right through the film's shoot "with such warmth". Nirmal then thanked Oho Enthan Baby's co-writer Sharada Ramanathan apparently for the role that she played in him being cast in the film.
Nirmal also gave a shot-out to his co-stars in Oho Enthan Baby, including Mithila Palkar, Rudra, Nivashini, Arun Kurian, and Vishnu Vishal. The actor made a special mention of Vishnu Vishal as the latter produced the film and put his faith in him for the role.
Released theatrically earlier this year, Oho Enthan Baby tells the story of a filmmaker who uses his personal experience as an inspiration for a film screenplay. It marked Mithila's Tamil debut.
Known for his standup comedy, especially the 'Parotta Act' gigs on YouTube, Nirmal earned his first credited role as an actor in 2022's Prime Video anthology series Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa.
