Vasanth Ravi is seen as a cop, a romantic partner, and a visually challenged individual in the trailer for his upcoming film, Indra, which was released on Saturday. Also starring Mehreen Pirzada, the long-delayed film is helmed by Sabarish Nanda.
The trailer starts by establishing that a serial killer is on the run and that his identity is untraceable. Kalyan Master plays a police officer who is in charge of the case. We also see a visually challenged Vasanth Ravi taking the help of his friend to parallely track down the murderer. We get glimpses of his other life, where he is seen to be a cop in a romantic relationship with Mehreen Pirzada’s character. Sunil is seen to be playing an eccentric character, mostly as the villain, while we also see visuals of Anikha Surendran. The trailer for Indra promises a fast-paced crime thriller film.
Sabarish Nanda is an erstwhile associate of director Sarjun. Apart from Vasanth Ravi, Kalyan, Sunil, Mehreen Pirzada and Anikha Surendran, the film also stars Rajkumar. On the technical team, Indra has cinematography by Prabu Rahgav, music by Soppana Sundari-fame Ajmal Tahseen and editing by Praveen KL. The film is backed by Jaffar Sadiq from JSM Productions and Irfan Malik from Emperor Entertainment.
The film is slated to hit theatres on August 22.
