The much-anticipated Tamil film of the year, Coolie, is releasing in theatres in a week. Music has played a pivotal role in ramping up expectations. The film has gained significantly with two chartbusters, 'Monica' and 'Powerhouse'.
Recently, the audio of the Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj film was unveiled in a grand event in Chennai. The makers of the film dropped the jukebox on Thursday.
The over 26-minute jukebox contains eight tracks: 'Coolie Disco' (instrumental), 'Chikitu' (Singers - T Rajhendherr, Anirudh and Arivu, who has also penned it), 'Uyirnaadi Nanbane' (Singers - Sai Smriti and Anirudh, Lyrics - Vishnu Edavan), 'I Am The Danger' (Singers - Siddharth Basrur, Anirudh, Lyrics - Heisenberg), 'Monica' (Singers - Sublahshini, Anirudh and Asal Kolaar, who has penned the lyrics along with Vishnu Edavan), 'Kokki' (Singers- Sooraj Santhosh and Amogh Balaji, who has also written the rap portions), 'Powerhouse' (Singers - Arivu, who also wrote the song, and Anirudh), and 'Mobsta' (Singer - Anirudh, Lyrics - Heisenberg).
Produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures, Coolie boasts an ensemble star cast of Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and Soubin Shahir.
Apart from Anirudh, the technical crew has cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, editor Philomin Raj and stunt choreographers Anbariv. The film's dialogues are written by Lokesh and Chandhru Anbazhagan, who have also contributed to the additional screenplay.
Coolie is releasing on August 14 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada.
