As Coolie continues to raise the bar in terms of excitement and hype ahead of its release on August 14, the film's writer has spilled a few beans on the nature of its story and an exciting portion in the film. Chandhru Anbazhagan, known for scripting Maaveeran (2023) and Lokesh's first film Maanagaram (2017), has revealed that he is eagerly waiting for the audiences to witness Rajinikanth's intense monologue in the film. "I'm sure that portion will do well. He has done a similar monologue in Annamalai (1992) for like a minute or so. Here it is for three minutes and I'm sure it will be a blast in theatres. I won't disclose when and where it will come," he said in a show for Sun TV.

He further added, "We have taken the same amount of effort that we had undertaken for Maanagaram. You will know the film's treatment when you watch the film. There are elements of hyperlink and interlink in its story similar to Maanagaram."

In the same show, Lokesh Kanagaraj said he is waiting to watch the interval scene with Rajinikanth fans. "This feels like a dream. Growing up a Kamal sir fan, making a film with him and now with Rajini sir. Imagine the amount of meticulous work that would have gone into the film. The interval scene is my favourite and I can't wait to watch it with fans," he shared.
