We had reported back in 2023 that Vijay Sethupathi had teamed up for a web series with noted director M Manikandan. No updates had been released after it went on floors that year. Now, after a long wait, the makers have announced that the series has been titled Muthu Engira Kaatan. Recent pictures from a studio revealed that the actor had started dubbing for his portions in the series which is scheduled to hit JioHotstar soon.

While the rest of the information on the plot and cast members are kept under wraps, the series is set to be backed by 7Cs Entertainment. As earlier reported, the technical crew consists of Rajesh Murugesan on the music and Immanuel Jackson as art director. Shanmugasundaram is cinematographer.

It is to be noted that the upcoming series is the third time Vijay Sethupathi and Manikandan are collaborating after Aandavan Kattalai and Kadaisi Vivasaayi.
