JioHotstar unveiled the first glimpse teaser for their upcoming series, Police Police, through their official Instagram handle on Tuesday. Starring Senthil and debutant Jayaseelan in lead roles, the series is a cop comedy drama. This comes after JioHotstar's other Tamil series, such as Uppu Puli Karam, Heartbeat and Office.
The teaser starts by showing Senthil in police uniform as Raja, who is investigating a group of crooks. Meanwhile, Jayaseelan is seen in casual clothing as Murali, sitting along with other suspects and indulging in a conversation with them. A while later, it is revealed that Murali is also a police officer who goes undercover to investigate and find the truth. From their conversation, the series promises to be a comedy caper.
Along with Senthil and Jayaseelan, the cast of Police Police includes Shabana Shahjahan, Sujitha Dhanush, Sathya, and Vincent Roy, amongst others. For the cast, this series marks a continued collaboration with JioHostar, with Shabana previously appearing in Cook With Comali, Sujitha, who was also seen in Pandian Stores, and Sathya, who was seen in Bigg Boss.
Senthil has a long career in films and radios, having appeared in projects like Evano Oruvan, Sengathu Bhoomiyilae, Kan Pesum Varthaigal, Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham, Pappali, Vennila Veedu, and Rombha Nallavan Da Nee. Senthil has also appeared in films like Chennai 600028 and Soorarai Pottru, as a fictionalised version of himself as an RJ working in Radio Mirchi.
A release date for Police Police is yet to be announced by JioHotstar.
