The terrorist attack in Pahalgam has sent shockwaves across the nation and internationally, prompting many prominent film personalities to raise their voice against the inhumane act. The latest to do so is singer-actor Andrea Jeremiah. Sharing a photograph on Facebook, Andrea stated that she was also visited Pahalgam as a tourist. "My heart goes out to the families of those affected by the terrorist attack," she wrote before adding "But my heart also breaks for the people of Kashmir who will be subjected to even more surveillance and scrutiny after this incident."
Andrea also advocated peace and harmony in the wake of the attack, with plenty of hatred spreading against Muslims in Kashmir. "When our country is turning increasingly polarised, it’s our duty as citizens to not be swayed by hate towards a specific religion/community."
She also urged social media users to not spread hate through comments. "There is no space for hate here, not on my comment section, not in our world," she concluded.
On the work front, Andrea's upcoming projects include Kaa – The Forest, Manushi, and the long-gestated Pisaasu II.
