Joining first-time director Bharathi Sivalingam, filmmaker Perarasu and Kakka Muttai fame Vignesh will be seen playing major roles in the film titled Central.
The makers unveiled the first look from the film on Monday.
Talking about the project, the director said that the film is against capitalism. He says, "From the time the world came into being, whatever we possess is a product of labour. There is no progress in the world without the workers. Central is the story about a humble villager who comes to Chennai in search of a better life. But his life is squandered by the cutthroat capitalistic pursuit of the urban life." He adds that the workers cannot be divided on the basis of caste, religion, and language.
Apart from the two, the film stars Soneshwari as the female lead, with Dharshan, Aaru Bala, Methagu Raja, Anburani, Kavinilavan, and Om Ganesh. The technical crew of Central has music composer Ela, cinematographer Vinoth Gandhi, editor Vithu Jeeva, art director Sethu Ramesh, and actor-choreographer John Mark.
Central is backed by Viyappiyan Devaraj, Satha Kumaraguru and Thamizh Sivalingam under the Sri Ranganathar Movie Makers.
Details regarding the plot and release date are yet to be made.
