Previously, we reported that Vishal is all set to join hands with Eetti fame director Ravi Arasu for his next. On Wednesday, the director, in an exclusive conversation with Cinema Express, confirmed that Dushara Vijayan has been cast as the film’s female lead.
Opening up about the film’s genre, Ravi Arasu says, “The upcoming film is a gangster drama. Both my previous directorials, Eetti and Ayngaran, were intense films. This upcoming film is also intense and is being shot on a big scale. The yet-to-be-titled film is backed by Vishal’s home banner, Vishal Film Factory.
Ravi Arasu also reveals that the film will go on floors at the end of this month and that three schedules of shooting have been planned. More details about the film’s cast, crew and plot are awaited.
Meanwhile, Vishal is currently working on Thupparivalan 2. As per sources close to the actor, the film is reportedly all set to go on floors in June. During the success meet of Madha Gaja Raja, the actor also revealed that he is working on another project with Gautham Vasudev Menon, which he is more likely to complete before the Thupparivalan sequel. He also mentioned that he will be teaming up with director Ajay Gnanamuthu for another film. Official announcements regarding these projects are awaited.
