Dhanush records a special song for Arun Vijay's Retta Thala

Arun Vijay, who was last seen in director Bala's Vanangaan, which was released in January, is currently awaiting the release of Retta Thala, directed by Kris Thirukumaran. With shooting for the film and dubbing completed, the makers announced that actor-director Dhanush has sung a special song in the film which has visuals shot in international locations. Pictures of Dhanush, Arun Vijay and composer Sam CS were shared from the recording studio.

It is to be noted that Arun Vijay is currently working on Dhanush's upcoming fourth directorial Idly Kadai which also stars Nithya Menen, Samuthirakani and Rajkiran.

Arun Vijay will be playing dual roles in Retta Thala. Billed to be an action thriller, the film is backed by Bobby Balachandran under his banner BTG Universal. Thirukumaran has worked with AR Murugadoss in Gajini, Ezham Arivu, Thuppakki and Sarkar and is best known for helming the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Maan Karate (2014) which marked his directorial debut. It had a script written by Murugadoss. He then made Gethu (2016), starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Amy Jackson and Sathyaraj.

Apart from Arun Vijay and Siddhi Idnani, Tanya Ravichandran will also be seen in a prominent role. Kannada actor Yogesh will be playing the antagonist in Retta Thala, marking his Tamil debut.

The technical crew of Retta Thala consists of music director Sam CS, cinematographer Tijo Tomy, and editor Anthony. The makers are yet to reveal a release date for the film.
