Sasikumar and Simran join hands for a new film

Actor Sasikumar, who was recently seen in Era Saravanan's Nandhan, is joining hands with Simran for a new film. Expected to be a family entertainer, the film, which has been tentatively titled Production No 5, is directed by debutant Abishan Jeevinth. The two actors have previously starred in Rajinikanth’s Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment, the production banner behind the hit films Good Night and Lover are backing this project which is set to have music by Sean Roldan. The yet-to-be-titled film is expected to go on floors in the first week of October.

Apart from Simran and Sasikumar, the film's cast also includes Mithun Jai Sankar, Kamalesh, Yogi Babu, Ramesh Thilak, MS Bhaskar and Bagavathy Perumal.

The technical crew features cinematography by Arvind Viswanathan and editing by Bharath Vikraman. The film is jointly produced by jointly produced by Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment’s Pasilian Nazareth, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan. It is planned for release during the Summer of 2025.

Simran was last seen playing the antagonist in Prashanth's Andhagan. Up next she has Sabdham, directed by Arivazhagan and The Last One, directed by Lokesh Kumar. Meanwhile, Sasikumar has Evidence, helmed by RDM and Sathyasiva's Freedom.
