Creating yet another record at the box office, Vijay and Venkat Prabhu's The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) has surpassed Rs 400 crore globally.
GOAT's production house, AGS Entertainment, announced on Wednesday that the film has collected Rs 413 crore in just 13 days of its release. It was earlier announced that the film made Rs 126.32 crore globally and Rs 45-55 crore in Tamil Nadu on its opening day.
The film opened to mixed to positive reviews when it released on September 5. Our CE review of the film read, "As the truth about Gandhi’s son, Jeevan/Sanjay, becomes evident to us, the film seems rather unsure about treating this very serious situation… seriously. This isn’t about Vijay playing the character in a bit of an unhinged way; it just feels like the film doesn’t quite make up its mind on what it wants to do with Sanjay."
Apart from Vijay, GOAT also stars Prashanth, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhudeva, Mohan, and Jayaram in prominent roles. Joining them are Venkat Prabhu's frequent collaborators Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajai Raj, and Aravind Akash.
GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu, has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni, editing by Venkat Raajen, art direction by Rajeevan, and action choreography by Dileep Subbarayan. Kalpathi S Aghoram has produced the film under the AGS Entertainment banner, with Archana Kalpathi serving as the creative producer.
The film was released in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu, with Zee Studios distributing it across North Indian states in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
