Coming off the heels of the massive success of Greatest of All Time (GOAT), directed by Venkat Prabhu, Vijay is all set to announce his final film before his entry into politics. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, details regarding the film will be announced tomorrow, September 14 at 5 pm.
Sharing the news, Karnataka-based KVN Productions released a tribute video for the actor featuring public reactions to his last film, their unconditional love for Vijay and voices from theatre owners. The video also features montages from fans' celebration of the actor's films in theatres.
According to reports, director H Vinoth is helming Vijay's 69th film. Although several sources including director Venkat Prabhu have confirmed this news, an official announcement is yet to arrive from the makers.
H Vinoth, known for his films Sathuranga Vettai (2014), Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017), and Nerkonda Paarvai (2019), last directed Thunivu (2023) with actor Ajith.
Meanwhile, Vijay's GOAT which has been receiving mixed to positive reviews from fans and critics, also stars Prashanth, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, and Jayaram in prominent roles. Joining them are Venkat Prabhu's frequent collaborators Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajai Raj, and Aravind Akash.
Back in February this year, Vijay officially confirmed his foray into politics and named his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Recently, the flag for his party was unveiled.
