Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam trailer: Abishek Kumar lands his not-so-dream job in a rural area

Prime Video unveiled the trailer for their upcoming comedy series, Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam, on Friday. Starring comedian Abishek Kumar in the lead role, the TVF series is all set to premiere on the streamer on September 20. 

The trailer shows Abishek landing a government job with not a great salary at a rural area. There, he finds it extremely difficult to adapt as a city boy, as he also finds it challenging to prepare for his MBA exams. The trailer promises that the series will be a fun and comical exploration of village life.

The star cast of Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam also includes Chetan Kadambi, Devadarshini, Niyathi, Anand Sami, and Paul Raj. The series is a remake of the Hindi Prime Video series Panchayat, which is created by TVF.

The eight-episode series follows Sidharth (Abishek Kumar), an engineering graduate from Chennai, who reluctantly takes on a job far outside his comfort zone as a secretary in the remote village of Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam. As he navigates the quirks of rural life and its eccentric villagers, he finds himself caught up in a comedy of errors full of twists and turns.

Directed by Naga, Thalaivettiyaan Paalayam is written by Balakumaran Murugesan.
