The makers of Sathish's upcoming film Sattam En Kaiyil released the teaser video of the film on Friday.
The over one-minute glimpse shows a murder and the subsequent cop procedural. Either in order to shut the case soon or to shield the real criminals, the cops frame the character played by Sathish. The film may revolve around how the protagonist proves himself innocent by nabbing the real lawbreakers.
Sattam En Kaiyil is directed by Chachhi, who previously directed Sixer, which also starred Sathish in a comical role. Contrary to Sixer, Sattam En Kaiyil is expected to be a serious film. Apart from Sathish, the film also stars Vidya Pradeep, Ajay Raj, Pavel Navageethan, Riythvika, and Venba.
In an earlier interview with CE, Chachhi said, "Sattam En Kaiyil is set in a police station and revolves around the events of a night. It will show how a commoner, after getting arrested, finds his way out of custody. When he finds himself powerless against influential people, he uses his wit to survive and escape."
The technical crew of Sattam En Kaiyil comprises DOP PG Muthaiya, music composer M S Jones, editor Martin Titus A, art director Pasar N K Rahul, and stunt choreographers Ram Kumar and Suresh. JM Raja has written the dialogue for the upcoming film.
Sattam En Kaiyil is produced by Bharathwaj Muralikrishnan, Anandhakrishnan Shanmugam of Shanmugam Creations, and Sriram Sathyanarayanan of Seeds Entertainment. The film is set to be released in Tamil Nadu by PVR.
Sattam En Kaiyil will release on September 20 along with a slew of other films.
