R Parthiban's Teenz streams on OTT

Two months after the theatrical release of R Parthiban's Teenz, the sci-fi adventure is finally streaming on OTT.

Without any pre-announcement of the OTT streaming, the makers posted that the film made its streaming debut on Amazon Prime Video. Several Tamil cinema fans had been asking the director to give the film's OTT release date.

The film, which was released on July 12, opened to mixed reviews. An excerpt from the CE review of Teenz reads, "Despite the pacing issues in the first half, the second half offers a surprising shift in tone. Parthiban emerges as a captivating character with intriguing peculiarities. While the initial disappearance of the children hinted at the paranormal, the second half pivots towards a fascinating, yet unproven, scientific concept. As Parthiban, known as Jana, delves into fantastical realms with science-fiction elements, the narrative regains some momentum. However, the exploration of these elements feels undercooked."

The film features a bunch of teenage actors, including Prashitha Nazir, L A Rishe Rathnavel, Frankinsten, Deepesshwaran GS, Asmitha Mahadevan, K S Deepan, Udaipriyan K, Vishrutha Shiv, D John Bosco, Sylvensten, D Amruutha, Kritika Balasubramanian and Roshan, among others.

Parthiban also serves as the film producer, along with Caldwell Velnambi, Dr Bala Swaminathan, Dr Pinchi Srinivaasan, and Ranjith Dhandapani.

The film's technical crew comprises music composer D Imman, cinematographer Gavemic Ary and editor R Sudarshan.
