The upcoming action-thriller film Bhai, starring debutant Addhava Eshvvaraa, who also doubles up as a producer, has cleared the censorship formalities and has obtained a U/A certificate.

The first look poster got a unique unveiling by religious leaders of Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam.

Talking about the film, Addhava says that Bhai will inspire people to look beyond religion and emulate humanity. He added that the film has been made in a non-linear manner with a screenplay keeping fans engaged till the last moment.

Opening up on how the CBFC's process has caused inconveniences for them, Addhava said, "Without understanding our real intention behind the seven-minute sequence, the CBFC placed scissors and reduced it to two and a half minutes. That cut has rendered the sequence confused. We had to write something else and shoot it to add relevance to the reduced sequence. So we reshot a scene and applied for censoring the film again. So it has been a tiring exercise for us."

Explaining how fast-paced Bhai's narration will be, the lead actor mentioned that the film has no songs as there is absolutely no situation that lends to a song and that they didn't want to apply a brake on the screenplay by adding songs.

Shot in just 23 days, the film is written and directed by debutant Kamalanathan Buvan Kumar, with Sri Niaa backing the film along with Krishnaraj and Addhava under the KRS Filmdom banner. Apart from the male lead, Bhai also stars Nikisha, Dheeraj Kher, and Seman Abbas in prominent roles.

The film's technical crew comprises cinematographer Krishnamoorthy, music composer Jithin K Roshan, and editor Idris.

The makers are planning to release Bhai in November without specifying a date.
