Condolences have been pouring in for producer G Dilli Babu who passed away on Monday in Chennai. He was 50. Dilli Babu had bankrolled critically acclaimed films like Ratsasan, Oh My Kadavule and Maragadha Naanayam under his Axess Film Factory banner.

The production house confirmed his death via their social media handles. "With a heavy heart, we announce the untimely passing of Mr. G Dilli Babu sir, the esteemed producer and visionary founder of Axess Film Factory," they wrote, adding, "During this difficult time, we kindly request everyone to keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. We also ask for privacy for his family as they navigate this immense loss.He inspired a lot of people through his passion and vision. His presence will be deeply missed." According to reports the funeral is set to happen later today evening.

Many actors, directors and producers who worked with him expressed their shock and grief over his passing. Director Ashwath Marimuthu, whose debut film Oh My Kadavule was produced by Dilli Babu wrote that his heart is broken and said that he was a wonderful producer. "I will cherish the love you had for me. The moment of meeting u for the first time and narrating Oh My Kadavule still flashes in my mind and makes me cry. My life changed after that narration! I love u sir. RIP," he added.

Actor Ashok Selvan who played the lead in Oh My Kadavule also mourned his demise and wrote, "Shocked and Saddened. My heart goes out to the grieving family. Your contributions towards cinema and personally for me with Oh My Kadavule, will always be remembered. Dilli Babu sir, you will be missed. RIP."

Producer SR Prabhu expressed his sadness and said that this was a big loss to the film industry."Deeply saddened by the loss of producer Dilli Babu of Axess Film Factory. So many young and new talents were supported by him. A big loss to film industry. My condolences to the friends and family! Rest in Peace!!," his post read.

Producer G Dhananjeyan also condoled his demise. "Woke up to this shocking news. Deeply saddened by the passing away of dear Dilli Babu sir, who is a very friendly and highly passionate Producer. He had a lot of dreams but fate took him away."

Music composer Ghibran, who made the music for Ratsasan wrote, “I am still in shock and speechless at the loss of our Ratsasan producer, Dillibabu sir. He had the vision to see big things and was a man with big dreams. Truly a dreamer with the hard work and commitment to make them possible. This is a significant loss to the world. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Peace be upon you, sir.”
