Rajinikanth has stated that he “does not know anything about” the Hema Committee Report in a response to a question about it. The recently released report contains major revelations about sexual misconduct, exploitation, and assault, among other phenomena, in Malayalam cinema. The revelations have sent shockwaves across the state. The allegations that followed the release of the report concerned certain members of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists, which forced Mohanlal to step down from his position at AMMA, alongside all the executive committee members.
Mohanlal and Mammootty welcomed the Hema Committee Report. On the other hand, Nani, Kushboo Sundar, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Radhika Sarathkumar, and Swara Bhaskar have responded to the revelations that concern its release.
On the work front, Rajinikanth's upcoming projects include Coolie, Vettaiyan, and Jailer 2. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan in his Tamil debut, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and Manju Warrier, among others, Vettaiyan is slated for an October 10 release.
