Vijay rolls out his political ideologies at TVK's first conference
On Sunday, Vijay's political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), hosted its first political conference in Vikravandi, Villupuram, Tamil Nadu. Apart from a large crowd, Vijay's father Chandrashekar, mother Shobha, and actor Sriman were some prominent personalities present at the event. At the event, Vijay held the mic for almost an hour and spoke about his party's ideologies.
The party's topmost ideology, the line 'Pirappukkum Ella Uyirkkum' from Thirukkural, was reiterated by Vijay as he began his speech. "We are all equal and the same. There's no inferior or superior person here," the actor said. When speaking about ideological leaders and rolemodels for his party, Vijay said, "We follow Periyar, but we do not follow his anti-religion stance. We will be following all of his other ideologies, including social justice, women's empowerment, and more." Further, Vijay also said that Kamarajar, B. R. Ambedkar, Velu Nachiyar, and Anjalai Ammal are also their ideological leaders.
Speaking about how his politics would be, Vijay said, "No compromise in our political war. We will not take hatred politics into our hands." Further, the party will also have ideologies, such as "Secular social justice, state autonomy, inclusiveness, two-language policy, anti-corruption, rejection of regressive ideas, drug-free Tamil Nadu are the other principals."
Reiterating his anti-NEET stance, Vijay also mentioned that women will be equally contributing to his party. He then finished his speech by asking his fans to return home safe and return for all other upcoming conferences.
On the work front, Vijay is currently working on Thalapathy 69, helmed by H Vinoth. The film stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Gautham Menon, Narain, and Prakash Raj, among others. The film's technical crew comprises cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan, editor Pradeep E. Ragav, and music composer Anirudh.
