
Actor Sai Pallavi, who is known not to beat around the bush, listed out conditions for her to choose and reject a film.
In her interview promoting her upcoming release Amaran to the Tamil YouTube channel Behindwoods, the actor categorically said she will reject roles that demand skin-show from her. She said she is not in the industry to cater to the people who see her as a piece of meat.
She further added that when there are fans who love to see her in a modest saree, she is happy just to entertain them. She recalled an undesirable response one of her videos fetched that became a reason for her principle. The actor also said her education and the confidence it gives to pursue a career in medicine if things don't work out in cinema is why she could clearly say no to certain things.
The actor will star as Indhu Rebecca Varghese, wife of late Major Mukund Varadarajan, in Amaran, with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. The film, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, tells the story of late army officer Major Mukund Varadarajan. The story is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book India's Most Fearless.
The technical crew has music by GV Prakash, cinematography by CH Sai, editing by Kalaivanan, and stunt direction by Stefan Richter. Amaran is being bankrolled by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International along with Sony Pictures International Productions.
Upon release on October 31, Amaran will clash with Jayam Ravi's Brother and Kavin's Bloody Beggar.
