
Known for comedy and negative roles in Tamil cinema, actor Sriman has decided to move out of his house due to flooding.
According to a Tamil daily, Sriman has vacated his Kodambakkam residence as the locality is flooded and he fears the water level could raise further. He said he will shift to his other house in Nungambakkam.
When asked about how the government is handling the situation, he commented that there is no use in playing blame game at this point in time. He added that the government is acting well and it needs to speed up a bit in the coming days.
Several areas of Chennai were ravaged by heavy rains and the resultant inundation. In its recent bulletin, the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) informed that the depression is stationary in the southern part of the Bay of Bengal, 490 kilometres off the Chennai coast. It is expected that the cyclone will make a landfall early on October 17 through southern Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry. Showers are predicted in Chennai for the next two days.
