On Monday, Prime Video announced that Karthik Subbaraj's series, Snakes and Ladders, will premiere on the streaming platform on October 18. Karthik Subbaraj is the creative producer of the series, which is directed by Bharath Muralidharan, Ashok Veerappan, and Kamala Alchemis. Kalyan Sundaram is producing the series under the Stonebench Productions banner.
The official synopsis of Snakes and Ladders reads, "Four reckless kids, while trying to cover up an accident, find themselves caught in dangerous situations—chased by cops, dim-witted thugs, and their own bad choices."
Set in the mid-2000s, this quirky, yet a gripping dark-humour thriller truly celebrates friendship in all forms. The story follows the adventures of four school friends, Gilly, Irai, Sandy, and Bala, who find themselves inadvertently entangled in a conundrum. As they navigate various challenging situations and personal struggles, leaving inevitable trails, making questionable choices along the way, their journey ultimately leads them on an unexpected path of self-discovery.
Snakes and Ladders stars Naveen Chandra, Muthu Kumar, Nandaa, Srinda, Manoj Bharathiraja, Ramachandran, Sreejith Ravi, Samrit Surya, Rageshwar Surya, Kumar Tharun, and Sasha Bharen. Snakes and Ladders is created by Kamala Alchemis and Dhivakar Kamal.
Meanwhile, Karthik Subbaraj recently wrapped filming for Suriya's Suriya 44, which also stars Pooja Hegde and Joju George in prominent roles.
