Arun Vijay's upcoming film Retta Thala has officially wrapped shooting. The film, directed by Kris Thirukumaran, went on floors on April 29. The cast and crew celebrated the occasion with a biryani feast hosted by Arun Vijay.
Siddhi Idnani, who plays the female lead, took to her social media handles to praise her co-star for the treat and said, "Hard work should be rewarded with good food (especially biryani and pepper chicken and bread halwa) Thank you, Arun Vijay, sir for the lovely treat for the entire team of Retta Thala. Brb. Nap time now."
Arun Vijay will be playing dual roles in the film. Billed to be an action thriller, Retta Thala is backed by Bobby Balachandran under his banner BTG Universal. Thirukumaran is best known for helming the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Maan Karate (2014), and Gethu (2016), which had Udhayanidhi Stalin in the lead.
Apart from Arun Vijay and Siddhi Idnani, Tanya Ravichandran will also be seen in a prominent role. Kannada actor Yogesh will be playing the antagonist in Retta Thala, marking his Tamil debut.
The technical crew of Retta Thala consists of music director Sam CS, cinematographer Tijo Tomy, editor Anthony and stunt choreographers Anbariv. The makers are yet to reveal a release date for the film.
Meanwhile Arun Vijay's another film Vanangaan with director Bala is also awaiting release.
