
Early on Tuesday morning, it was reported that actor Rajinikanth has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai over health issues.
As several media houses are coming up with their own theories about the actor's health, Apollo Hospital, in which he is admitted, has issued an official medical bulletin.
The note states that the actor was admitted to the hospital situated in Greams Road on September 30 over a complaint of swelling in the main blood vessel that leaves his heart (the aorta). It further reads that the swelling has been sealed by placing a stent, which in the medical jargon is called an endovascular repair.
The note adding that the procedure went well said Rajinikanth will be discharged in two days.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actor is awaiting the release of his film Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film stars an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Kishore, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Ritika Singh, Rohini, Dushara Vijayan, and VJ Rakshan. The film hits theatres on October 10.
He is also filming for Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie. The film also stars Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Upendra and Soubin Shahir.
