Fire Teaser: Balaji Murugadoss plays a sextortionist in this J Sathish Kumar thriller

The makers of J Sathish Kumar's directorial debut, Fire, dropped the teaser video of the film on Wednesday.

The glimpse revolves around a chiropractor, Kasi (Balaji Murugadoss), a mysterious person who is alleged to have conned several women into sexual relationships under the pretext of marriage. The teaser shows several women giving their versions of Kasi, and what follows is the police probe.

To the uninformed, the story may have been inspired by the sensational Nagercoil Kasi case of 2020. Kasi was a notorious exortionist. He was involved in shooting intimate videos with over 100 women in a compromised position and has extorted lakhs of money from the victims. The prosecution revealed that he exploited over 120 women, and law enforcement recovered almost 1,900 obscene photographs and 400 videos from him.

The film, produced by Sathish Kumar's JSK Film Corporation, also stars Chandini Tamilarasan, Rachitha Mahalakshmi, Sakshi Agarwal, Gayathri Shan, Singampuli and Suresh Chakravarthi. Fire's technical crew comprises music composer DK, cinematographer Sathish G, editor CS Prem Kumar and art director SS Suseedevaraj.
