On Sunday, Studio Green, the makers of Suriya's Kanguva, announced that the film will have shows from 4am onwards in states such as Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. However, when it comes to Tamil Nadu, the makers said that they've requested for 4 am shows for November 14, approval for which is awaited.
Directed by Siva, Kanguva also stars Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, and KS Ravikumar in supporting roles. It is positioned as a pan-India release; the makers say it will be released in 38 languages, including English.
Disha Patani makes her Tamil debut with Kanguva, as will Bobby Deol, as the antagonist. It has also been rumoured that Karthi will make an appearance in the film. Devi Sri Prasad composes the music for Kanguva.
Co-produced by UV Creations, Kanguva has a technical crew comprising cinematographer Vetri Palanisamy and editor Nishadh Yusuf. The fantasy period action film, which will be made in two parts, is expected to traverse across multiple time periods.
