Pithala Maathi trailer: Umapathy Ramaiah plays a wastrel trying to figure out his life

The makers of Pithala Maathi, starring Umpathy Ramaiah, unveiled the film's trailer on Thursday. Helmed by director Manika Vidhya, the film also stars Samskruthy and Devadharshini in prominent roles.

The trailer shows Umpathy to be Thambi Ramaiah's son onscreen as well. He is depicted to be a wastrel trying to figure out what to do in life along with his friend, played by Bala Saravanan. He also seems to be embroiled in som crisis. Pithala Maathi will reportedly tell the story of marginalised people.

Bala Saravanan, Vinutha Lal, Thambi Ramaiah, Aadukalam-fame Naren, Kadhal-fame Sukumar, and Vidylukeha Raman round out the cast of Pithala Maathi.

Pithala Maathi is all set to feature cinematography by SN Venkat, music composed by Moses, and editing by A L Ramesh. The film is produced by G Saravanan under the Sri Saravana Film Arts banner.

The makers are yet to reveal the release date of Pithala Maathi.
