Is STR the "new thug" in Kamal Haasan's Thug Life?

Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam's Thug Life is going through casting changes despite going on floors months ago.

Makers of the actioner have released a poster that reads, "Arriving on May 08th 2024 - A NEW THUG IN TOWN."

Talks are thick that Silambarasan TR has on boarded the project. Reports surfaced about his inclusion after images of him with Kamal Haasan, from the shooting spot believed to be of Thug Life, flooded the internet.

It is worth noting that actors Jayam Ravi and Dulquer Salmaan opted out of the project owing to scheduling problems.

Besides Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Nassar, and Abhirami too have been cast in crucial roles.

Thug Life is a gangster film that Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan are collaborating for after 36 years of Naayakan, which too is an iconic gangster film. The project was announced last year. The film is a co-production between Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies, Kamal's Raaj Kamal Film International, and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies.
