Dhruv Vikram-Mari Selvaraj film's update on this date

Director-producer Pa Ranjith has announced that an update on Mari Selvaraj's next with Dhruv Vikram will be made on May 6.

He made the announcement with the poster where only Dhruv's torso could be seen with a kind of shorts worn by a Kabaddi player. For the unversed, Dhruv will be essaying the role of Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan, who also was an Arjuna Award recipient.

Touted to be an epic sports drama, the film also features Anupama Parameswaran.

Pa Ranjith's Neelam Studios along with Applause Entertainment will bankroll the film. Ranjith, who as a producer recently released Blue Star and J Baby, has Thangalaan starring Vikram awaiting release. His next directorials would be the second installment of sports drama Sarpatta Parambarai and an untitled project with Karthi, who he worked with in Madras.

Mari Selvaraj's last release was Maamannan, starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil. His children's film, Vaazhai, is yet to be released.
