Vishal begins pre-production work for Thupparivaalan 2

Actor Vishal took to his official X handle to announce that he has begun pre-production work for his debut directorial, the sequel to his 2017 action thriller Thupparivaalan, helmed by Mysskin.

He wrote on the social media platform, "And my journey begins finally after 25 years. My dream, my aspiration, my first thought of what I want to be in life has come true. Yes, I take charge of a new responsibility, the most challenging in my career, that of a debut director. Here we go finally. Off to London, Azerbaijan and Malta for the recce of my first directorial debut Thupparivaalan 2 and Detective 2."

Further, the actor recalled the words of his father, and wrote, "No words to explain but just remembering what my Dad Mr. G.K. Reddy and Action King Arjun sir said. Hard Work Never Fails. No matter what comes by, pursue your dreams persistently and consistently and one day it will come true. Thank you all for giving me this identity as an actor. Hope the support will continue for Thupparivaalan 2 and Detective 2."

He concluded his note, by saying, "As a director too, thanks to Mysskin sir for bringing my dream earlier. Don't worry I never abandon anyone’s baby in real life or reel life. Will make it reach its destination sir. God bless. Off to work now." He also attached a video of him addressing his followers about the update, along with the post. (sic)

Prasanna, Vinay Rai, Anu Emmanuel, Andrea Jeremiah, K. Bhagyaraj and John Vijay also played pivotal roles in Thupparivaalan. British novelist, Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective character, Sherlock Holmes, was the inspiration behind the titular protagonist and the film.

More details about the cast, crew, plot, etc. of Thupparivaalan 2 are yet to be revealed by the makers.
